Who's behind Protect & Prosper

About me
Hi, I'm Lukas Jocius
- Law degree & master's
- ~30 countries explored
- Advisor with Affinity Financial Services Inc.
- Tech & finance enthusiast
I'm a licensed life and health insurance and segregated funds professional based in Toronto, Ontario, but it wasn't always that way.
I studied law, earned my master's degree and practised as a lawyer. But my younger years belonged to travel: I explored around 30 countries, and that curiosity eventually brought me to Canada, where I found my way into the financial industry almost by chance.
What kept me here is a simple passion for helping people. Finance is full of jargon, so I started Protect & Prosper Canada to help demystify it. I guide Canadian families through insurance and segregated fund solutions, and I create free educational tools, interactive illustrations and videos that make lifelong financial decisions easier to understand.
A healthy financial situation is a real measure of freedom. Whether it comes from financial knowledge or from putting products like life insurance or segregated funds to work, every step moves you closer to the freedom we're all looking for.
What I can and can't advise on
There is a lot in the financial world, and no one person is licensed for all of it. Below is the whole landscape, with the part I hold a licence for marked in green. Everything outside it is someone else's to advise on — that is a boundary, not a verdict on the product.
